S939 KitKat -Google AOSP pre-rooted by cracktech
The above screen is new bootanimation installed for this custom ROM and the main picture is the lockscreen (the first screen before you unlock your phone)
This firmware has complete GApps , pre-rooted ith SuperSU 2.01, includes busybox and sqlite3. Busybox will symlink during flash. MultiLanguage (all language supported by Google releases). Specifically customised for Europe and Asia only not for North America. Has optimised "gps.conf" file for China/India/Russia and South East-Asia.

Tweaked for bigger net TCP buffer size and faster video streaming, and AGPS (network/wifi/GPS) for faster satellite fix with "gps.conf". Changed boot animation and lockscreen (all from LENOVO not some sidewalk artist). Tweaked for better battery life (slight improvements after a few times of shutdown and rebooting (autoshutdown and wakeup is OK).
This is an Android 4.4.2 firmware therefore customs recovery for the same model from 4.2.2 will not work succesfully on 4.4.2 (trust me!) whether it be TWRP/CWM . But I only recommend using TWRP by JanMae, you can download from his page (the link to TWRP Recovery is to Jan Maes page, as I find it the only TWRP so far that works on both 4.2.2 and 4.4.2 flawlessly (Kudos to him for making this happen) I was using TWRP from a Russian site for 4.2.2 on my 4.4.2 and causes me to loose 50% of my internal sdcard storage (it reported only 4.5Gb total instead of a total 8Gb) and it doesnt backup and restore well on the 4.4.2 but JanMae's TWRP Recovery worked on both!.
I dont want to turn this ROM depository site into a Question and Answer forum, so as usual I have included instructios and descriptions in a PDF format document for users to to read it in their own time. Dont make mistakes by trying to flash this ROM using SPFlashTool, it is to be flashed using custom recovery but I dont recommend anything else except JanMae's TWRP recovery since I tested/developed the firmware (4.2.2 and 4.4.2) on my phones without any trouble at all, maybe if you used another version of TWRP/CWM you might face problem and we will be comparing Apples against Orange.
Please familiarised yourself by reading the guides from websites on how to flash using custom recovery because I will not answer any question regarding "How to Flash using customs recovery?" If you dont know it please dont trouble yourself and others. I dont ask for payments and neither do you pay me so be brave in doing it yourself at your own risk. SOooo SORRY about that!!

XPERIA C PORT ROM by Jalexismf

The ROM comes with the root, superuser, band 900, and with the "patch" for Endomondo, although there is no prove that it really works.
Before installing any rom is IMPORTANT to backup IMEI, or IMEI numbers copy a paper or word document, as there is the possibility that after installing your IMEI pass zero. It is also advisable to make a backup of your phone ROM from Recovery

HOW TO INSTALL:

Turn off the phone and crank in Recovery mode (Volume + Volume – and Power at the same time until the Lenovo logo appears)
Make a Wipe data / factory reset
Make a Wipe Cache Partition
Advanced – Wipe dalvik cache and then Go Back
Mounts and storage – format / system, format / data, format / cache and then Go Back
And finally install zip from sd card – select the zip file from the SD card. Once installed, the phone will reset itself
The first time will take a while to boot. Once the phone boot, SIMS and configured, you must go to Settings – Accessibility and start off fast, as it can cause problems with this ROM
BUGS / RECOMMENDATIONS:
- The Launcher can not choose topics.
- To take the GPS satellites faster, I recommend installing the free app FasterGPS
- There is a bug with changing options in xperia keyborad, but all changes remain saved no matter the notification about error
- MY RECOMMENDATION: Download Root App Remover from market and delete all Sony Xperia apps and install Apex launcher. After that you have clean and nice rom to work with.

Instructions for TWRP 2.7.0.0
1 We throw ZIP firmware to the SD drive.
2 Enter the TWRP: Do off the phone press the power button and hold for 1-2 seconds, then press the volume rocker "+" and "-" simultaneously and release the power button and hold the rocker to enter the recovery.
3 We harvest Wipe -> Advanced Wipe, install four jackdaws:
- [X] Dalvik Cache
- [X] Cache
- [X] Data
- I pull the slider (->) Swipe to Wipe and wait inscription Wipe Complete Successful
- Return to the main menu. (three times by pressing the back button)
4 We press the Install button and select the firmware file (it must be based on the memory card in a format .zip)
- I pull the slider (->) Swipe ti Confirm Flash forward and complete the installation. (during installation screen may lock)
- There will be three buttons and the inscription Successful, click Reboot System.

P780 Android 4.4.2
Lenovo P780 ROM version P780_ROW_S220_140722, pre-rooted, with TWRP recovery
This is a signifiant upgrade to Lenovo P780 ROW, Android version 4.4.2 KitKat. The interface (launcer, lock screen) are similar to those found on VibeUI ROM, but with more available languages and without the China-specific apps installed.
This is a pre-rooted SPFlash format package, allowing you to install hassle-free the factory ROM. All user data stored within internal storage will be lost, make sure to backup your data before installing it. I only tested on P780 with 4GB, but it should work fine on 8GB ROW version too.
The only differences between this ROM and the untouched 'ROW' (Rest of the World) official ROM are:
- recovery TWRP version 2.7 (the official recovery is also provided) is included
- this one is pre-rooted with clockworkmod superuser
The ROM will be updatable over-the-air, but TWRP recovery may be lost on future official OTA updates.
After the first boot, Security and Power Manager apps will ask for root privilege. They do work very well without having superuser privilege, it's safe to deny forever root acces for both of them.
How to install
- optional step – Install ADB drivers for the phone, use MTK Root & Tools to backup IMEI
- install SPFlash tools (version 3.x works fine) and the drivers for Mediatek VCom port
- Download the package, unzip it to a folder, open SPFlash tools, make sure you have the 'DA DL All with checksum' activated, click on 'Scatter file', select the file "MT6589_Android_scatter_emmc.txt", make sure all the records from the spflash window are ticked and have a file associated to them on 'location' column.
- power off the phone, make sure you have unchecked the 'Fast boot-up' (or similar) option on the phone
- connect the usb cable to the phone, click on 'Firmware upgrade', connect the other usb cable end to PC, wait for the green circle to appear.
- disconnect the phone, power it on, wait for a longer-than-usual startup
- deny root access requests for 'security' and 'power' apps
- optional – restore IMEI with MTK Root & Tools
The baseband contained within this ROM is for ROW (rest of the world) hardware version of Lenovo P780, 2nd SIM will not work if you use it on non-ROW (for China) devices. If you're unsure if your device is ROW or China, look at the text on the battery. If the text it's mostly chinese, then you have the non-ROW hardware version of P780.
Known issues
- After loading the scatter file, SPFlash tools version 5 does not automatically populate the 'preload' segment, you will have to tick it and browse for the actual location of 'preload.img'. SPFlash version 3.x does not exhibit this behaviour
- If you forget to tick 'DA DL All with checksum', the phone will fail to boot, with a 'DL fail' message. Fortunately, the flash operation can be done once again. Just power the device off (pressing 'power' for about 10 seconds), disconnect the usb cable, start over the installation.
- the P780_ROW_S221 official update will restore factory recovery and may prevent superuser from working properly. To use root with S221, you have to download the S220 to S221 zip update above and the superuser zip to SDCard, reboot to recovery (with mobile uncle tools or ADB reboot recovery), go to 'update', apply the the update zip, do not reboot, apply as update the superuser zip, select reboot on recovery, answer 'do not fix root' if questioned. It's important to apply both zips at once. Power on the phone, with a root file manager rename /system/recover-from-boot.p to something different, such as 'recover-from-boot.bak', power off the phone, reflash the recovery from the first archive with spflash tools, make sure to uncheck all the partitions except 'recovery' and to have 'DA DL All with checksum' ticked.
