Rom install :

- Unpack FlashTools, and Click on Flash_tool.exe
- Select a the MT6595_Android_scatter.txt in ROM
- Wait file to be added into Flash Tool
- choose Option->USB Model,click USB Model
   –> Choose Option->DA DownLoad All->Speed->High Speed, click High Speed
- Turn off your phone, remove the battery and replace it after some seconds (and don't turn on the phone).

- "Press F9 (hit Download button)" OR " if upgrade ROM Firmware->Upgrade "
- and connect your phone into the computer via USB data cable.
- The process will start and a red progress bar will appear after color purple, yellow.
- And green circles display
- Finish !

- You can now safely disconnect your phone and turn it on.

Instructions:

1. Copy Rom on your SD-CARD.

2. Power off your phone.

3. Turn your phone on in recovery mode (by pressing VOLUME UP + POWER buttons).

4. Make a backup. Select “backup and restore”. And then select “backup”. When it is done select “Go Back”.

5. Select Wipe/Data Factory Cache.

6. Select Wipe Cache Partition.

7. Go to advanced and select wipe dalvik cache.

8. Go back to the main menu.

9. Select “Install zip from sdcard” –> “Choose zip from sdcard” –> Now select Rom zip –> Select ”Yes”

10. DONE. ENJOY!!

Install steps:

1 – first you need to install the a760 drivers http://data.hu/get/7127741/DriversLenovoA760.rar to the pc.

2 – then you have to change the stock recovery for CWM recovery on the phone, download CWM from here: http://data.hu/get/7127676/Instalar_CWM_Lenovo_A760.rar. Unrar the content somewhere on your pc, connect the phone to the pc via the usb cord, make sure usb debugging is turned on, then doubleclick on the bat file. Next on your pc a command prompt window will pop up, hit enter and wait, your phone will turn off and get into the bootloader menu and there the cwm recovery will be uploaded, when done the phone reboots.

3 Boot to recovery: Turn off your phone, then while holding the power on button push the volume + and volume – buttons for three or four seconds, and if all is ok, then the phone will boot into cwm recovery.

4 In cwm recovery you can navigate up an down the different menu options with the volume buttons, and the power button is the enter. In cwm in the backup menu dont forget to make a full backup to your sd card first and then save it to the pc. Copy next the downloaded MIUI rom zip file onto the sd card, do not unzip the file. Next you can do a full wipe: wipe cache, wipe dalvik cache, do a factory reset.

After that in the cwm install menu look for the MIUI zip file on your sd and flash the rom on your phone. When done , reboot your phone, the first boot can take a bit longer then usual. Enjoy your new rom!

Android 4.1.1. S128 v.3.3 mod

Surprisingly good version of the asian branch of ROM. Graphically and functionally took the good things from MIUI/Lewa ROM. I modified ROM, threw everything in Chinese and added translated texts (multilanguage), used my texts from ROM S113. Therefore, it is not translated everything (ROM S128 v3.3 has more texts than S113). ROM is ROOTed, GAPPS are installed from a separate file.

Advantages / disadvantages:
- quick GPS fix (AGPS uses) 
- ROM runs smoothly 
- detailed system settings (eg. data monitor data in a not. bar, …)

Installation instructions:
1. Format SD card and place ZIP ROM and GAPPS on SD card
2. If you haven't it, install TWRP recovery (download link bellow), go to TWRP
3. First Wipe (select all options except SD card), then install ZIP ROM
   -in TWRP click on Install button and choose ZIP file ROM
​   -drag button "Swipe to Confirm Flash" to install it
   -click on button "Clear cache/dalvik"
   -clicik on button "Reboot System"
4. System will restart – patience required – first boot takes a while
5. Go to Settings/Storage/Default write disk, click here to "SD Storage" and then "OK" 
6. Phone restarts and boots up
7. Go to TWRP recovery again
8. Install GAPPS file and restart to System (phone)
9. Go to Settings/Language & input/Languages and choose system language
10. Turn off EPO in Settings/Location services/GPS EPO assistance (because EPO server is premanently overloaded)
11. Switch off Chinese texts in the Call list:
   - click on Call icon
   - click on icon in the right corner (looks like 4 squares) 
   - click on CallerLoc 
   - click on left button below the screen, select Setting, uncheck "Display number's location" 
12. Done, use the phone

Lenovo P780 ROM, Android 4.4.2, patched to work with Chinese version of the phone

This is a signifiant upgrade to Lenovo P780 ROW, The OS is upgraded to version 4.4.2 KitKat. It is a full upgrade package and will erase all user data. After update, the internal storage will no longer have the virtual SD card, the entire internal storage is partitioned as 'usrdata', the android data partition.

This ROM was initially released for the international version of the P780, I made 2 changes to it, to make it work with the chinese version (no 900 MHz), 4GB (non-ROW), which is now bundled with the VIBEUI ROM. Here are the changes I made: 1) I removed the device check from the installer, now the zip could (but I don't advise to) be installed on any device, and 2) the baseband used on this device is the one bundled with the VIBE UI ROM, the one that works with the non-ROW version of the phone. This ROM has all the apps which the international version has: Google play, more languages, etc.

Applying the zip update will also remove custom recovery and replace it with factory version. The first restart will take longer as usual, so be patient on the first boot. 'boot' and 'recovery' images are overwritten by the update, if you use root and/or custom recovery, you will have to reinstall them custom recovery with SPFlash Tool.

Before upgrading, back up your data (SMS, Call logs, Apps) with Lenovo Backup & Restore, you will be able to restore contacts/sms and logs later with the settings / backup and restore feature, and reinstall APKs from the SD card backup folder manually. APKs can be easily located with the file browser.

The 2nd package provided is in SP Flas tools format, it can be installed fast and easy, no matter what is your phone currently running. The package includes the factory ROM and apps, plus Superuser and Busybox. A custom recovery is also included.

What's new

- the internal virtual SD card has been removed, now all the available internal storage is provided as a single partition

Notes

- The baseband contained within this ROM is for China version of Lenovo P780, you may lose the 900 MHz for 3G data band if you will install it on the international version of the phone!

- You have to backup IMEIs with MobileUncleTools before flashing. It's a known fact that sometimes IMEIs are lost when flashing ROM, it already happened with many ROMs and many MTK65xx devices.
- automatic updates will fail, due to changes Lenovo made in the update mechanism. For example, the update to ROW_S221 checks for the checksum of the modem.img file, thus making the update to fail.
- after installing Chainfire SuperSU onto this rom, you will gain root, but the current version of chainfire will complain about ‘not being up to date’, this will likely be fixed in a future version of SuperSU

- newer P780s use a different preloader image. I have uploaded both preloader.img on the spflashable ROW-s222 package, you will have to manually select the 2nd preloader.img file manually if your device is manufactured after march 2014.

How to install the ROM

Common prerequisites:

- Use lenovo backup and restore, do a backup of your data to SD Card (apps, contacts, messages, call logs), you will be able to restore them later with settings/backup and restore feature.

- connect the phone to PC, enable USB debugging, install Lenovo drivers if you didn't already, do a backup of your IMEIs with MTK Root & Tools app

1 – P780-S220, zip update – This package can be installed if your device is already running a factory ROM for P780. Versions P780-ROW S119-S124 work fine. You need to have installed a custom recovery able to install zip from SD Card. Download the zip, copy it to the phone card, Power off the phone, start the phone by pressing 'power + vol-up + vol-down' to enter recovery interface, apply zip update.
Recovery working with this ROM: Carliv Recovery v. 2.2 (even though it isn't perfect, it's able to apply zip/sideload updates), TWRP 2.5.0

2 – The SPFlash format package – This package can installed with spflash tools, regardless of what is your phone running. Grab SPFlash tools (version 3.12 or any higher 3.x version recommended) and the Mediatek USB VCom drivers, install the driver, unpack SPFlash tools and the ROM.
Power off the phone with 'Fast bootup' option disabled, connect the usb cable to the phone (only this cable end), start Flash_tool downloaded previously, make sure 'DA DL All checksum' option is enabled within app, click on 'scatter…' button, browse to the 'MT6589_Android_scatter_emmc.txt' extracted with the ROM, click on 'Firmware upgrade' button. Take a look to all memory partitions on SP Flash tool window, make sure all partitions are ticked and HAVE a file associated to them. SPFlash tools version 5 may not automatically check all segments!
Connect the usb cable to the PC end, watch the Flash_Tool how it's transferring firmware, until it displays a window with a green circle.
Unplug the cable, start the phone, wait for the initial setup (it will take longer than the usual start-up), enjoy!
You will notice requests for root from Lenovo Power and Security apps. It's absolutely safe to hit 'Deny', those apps work very well without root access.

Common post-update actions:
- use settings/backup and restore to bring back contacts/messages/call logs
- ignore update notifications, they will allow you to download future updates, but they will likely give errors when attempting to install the update.

ROM Android 4.1.1, the most stable ROM for P770, mod of original Lenovo ROM S113_130424 (was designed for Europe). This is probably the best workining ROM for P770, works without problems and shortcomings encountered in different custom ROM,  phone goes smoothly without lags. The big advantage of this ROM is really very good battery life, ROOT is included, ROM contains Google apps, LED notification works, writing SMS also works in landscape mode and GPS fix is fast (considering options MTK6577 chip). The older version of the Android does not matter, differences compared to Android 4.2.2 are minimal. ROM is suitable for people who do not conform to errors an unoriginal custom ROM.

- try GPS fix in GPS Test application

If you have in your phone an earlier version of this ROM (e.g. v.08), you can simply install a new version (e.g. v.11). It is not necessary to do full wipe (as is described above). In TWRP simply install new version, do Wipe Dalvik/Cache and restart to system. All your personal settings will retained.

Warning: Do not use GravityBox in this ROM, most settings not working well.

If you have any problem with installation (especially if you have an asian ROM in phone) or something in phone don't work normally, first install standard european ROM S110, then install THIS ROM. Right order is: ROM S110 > CWM > TWRP > S113 ROM.

Memory repartition (optional):
Lenovo (as a most phones with Mediatek chipset) has normally very badly divided internal memory. This can be easily corrected by the repartition applications "anzhuo365.apk" http://d-h.st/ra0. Ideally reallocation of memory do immediately after installing ROMs, do not let them bother with the backup.

0. Make sure that you have installed TWRP recovery, link is above the download link ROM 
1. Install apku "anzhuo365.apk" and run it

    - copy full strings from english file to slovak file and translate it, e.g.

NOTE : There might be certain newly/updated GApps and after market App that will FC after the flash, ALL you have to do is to reinstall them , Google Maps will FC the first use but after reinstall it will work flawlessly( it has something to do with not formatting the data partition) but ALL the newly installed apps will work , it is not broken! Latest ADVISORY!: Best you use a root uninstaller to uninstall Maps app then do dalvik-cache wipe and download it from Playstore again ,you are also advised to download GoogleTTS together if you are a heavy Maps user (like me)

To be flash best as an update from previous AOSP version. Rooted to SuperSU 2.05. Advisable immediately after the flash update to flash the SuperSU2.09 update through TWRP Recovery. (this to be done after the first reboot>>POWER OFF >>restart in Recovery and THEN Flash the SuperSU2.09)I cannot guarantee the ROM will work on a CWM recovery only recommend to use JanMae TWRP recovery for S939 (will work on 4.2.2 and 4.4.2 versions.

 There are no bells and whistle in this ROM except that it down to earth AOSP (Google compliant ROM can work all Google functions) This update will NOT delete installed apps (but this might cause problems if dalvik-cache and cache partition is not cleared). 

This ROM is to be  flashed only through JanMaeTWRP Recovery, as I develop this ROM using his TWRP version.

Android 4.1.1. S128 v.3.5 mod - This is in many ways very different from the former ROM Android 4.1.1. S128 v.3.3!

Surprisingly very good version of the asian branch of ROM. I modified original chinesse ROM, threw everything in Chinese and added translated texts (multilanguage), used texts from my previous ROMs, corrected some errors and shortcomings. There is not translated everything in all languages, because most of them do not speak. ROM is ROOTed, GAPPS are installed from a separate file.

For me this could be the candidate for the best ROM for Lenovo P770. I did not find any significant errors it the ROM. 

Languages support: Afrikaans, Arabic, Bahasa Indonesia, Bahasa Melayu, Bulgarian, Catalan, Croatian, Chinese (simplified, traditional), Czech, Danish (Dansk), Netherlands  (Dutch), English,, French, German (Deutsch), Greek, IsiZulu, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Lithuanian, Latvian, Magyar, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Rumantsch, Serbian, Slovak, Slovene, Spanish, Swedish, Svenska, Turkish, Tagalog, Tieng Viet, Vietnamese, Ukrainian, Taiwan, … (some languages ​​haven't translated all phrases)

Advantages / disadvantages:
- quick GPS fix (AGPS uses) 
- ROM runs very smoothly 
- many detailed system settings (eg. data monitor data in a not. bar, …) 
- LED notification works well for Email, Gmail, Facebook, Talk, Hangouts, etc.. 
- multilanguage support (quality depends on the language)

Installation instructions:
1. Format SD card and place ZIP ROM and GAPPS on SD card
2. If you haven't it, install TWRP recovery (download link bellow), go to TWRP
3. First Wipe (select all options except SD card), then install ZIP ROM
   -in TWRP click on Install button and choose ZIP file ROM
​   -drag button "Swipe to Confirm Flash" to install it
   -click on button "Clear cache/dalvik"
   -clicik on button "Reboot System"
4. System will restart – patience required – first boot takes a while
5. Go to Settings/Storage/Default write disk, click here to "SD Storage" and then "OK" 
6. Phone restarts and boots up
7. Go to TWRP recovery again
8. Install GAPPS file and restart to System (phone)
9. Go to Settings/Language & input/Languages and choose system language
10. Turn off EPO in Settings/Location services/GPS EPO assistance (because EPO server is premanently overloaded)
11. Switch off Chinese texts in the Call list:
   - click on Call icon
   - click on icon "Info Center" in the right corner 
   - click on Location 
   - click on left button below the screen, select Setting, uncheck "Display number's location" 
12. Done, use the phone

The flashing process will not wipe your already installed apps.

NOTE : IF YOU NEED BIGGER DATA SPACE PLEASE DO THE FOLLOWING:

GO to : Settings>>Storage>>(you will see "Default Write Disk") >> select External Storage.

This will make your External SDCard becomes your internal SDCard (sdcard0). and I recommend you use 32Gb (class 10) SDCard but please check your already installed apps as they might become "uninstall" and you will have to reinstall them .So now your internal data storage has become 32Gb instead of 8GB.

The S017 ROM must be installed via TWRP recovery there and instructions on how to install TWRP either through flashing using SPFlashTool or using MobileUncleTool is given in the instructions sheet.It is include in the SPFlashTool for you to install TWRP by using SPFlash tool or you can try to install using Mobile Uncle Tool if you get ROOT through VROOT (Google for VROOT)

The update to S017 will update GApps and  update some framework files since the upgrade for A889 from S011 to S017 is only about 30Mb and mostly it is Lenovo bloatwares.

First you must already obtain root access to upgrade – if you are are not rooted and on stock ROM you must gain temporary root access by using VROOT (which is to be installed on PC and will Root the phone via USB connection- dont want to go into that topic – Google for it!) this will enable you to use MobileUncleTool to install TWRP recovery.

Or if you are experienced you can flash the TWRP recovery only using SPFlashTool.

Copy the zip file on the external sdcard and  go into TWRP. choose INSTALL, select this zip file.

The time settings defaults to Asia/Kuala Lumpur and GPS settings defaults to India/Russia/France continent from Asia/Europe. DO NOT use MobileUncleTool/Faster GPS/GPS Doctor apps  to change the gps.settings. you only have to edit your locale in the file called "gps.conf" in system/etc folder.(please use RootExplorer/RootBrowser app) There are specific settings only for MTK devices those apps (Faster GPS/GPS Doctor/MobileUncleTool) will overwrite the settings!This must also change in the NTPSync to get the best GPS fix.

In the OptionalApps.zip there is Balckmart/1Mobile Market/(to downlaod apps that is declared as incompatible by Playstore) GooglePlus, Battery Calibration,CleanMaster(maintenance)

After first signing in to Google you will get error messages because Google Playstore need the latest update to Google PlayService  (already updated Google PlayServices or GmsCore) to latest version.
