The flashing process will not wipe your already installed apps.
NOTE : IF YOU NEED BIGGER DATA SPACE PLEASE DO THE FOLLOWING:
GO to : Settings>>Storage>>(you will see "Default Write Disk") >> select External Storage.
This will make your External SDCard becomes your internal SDCard (sdcard0). and I recommend you use 32Gb (class 10) SDCard but please check your already installed apps as they might become "uninstall" and you will have to reinstall them .So now your internal data storage has become 32Gb instead of 8GB.
The S017 ROM must be installed via TWRP recovery there and instructions on how to install TWRP either through flashing using SPFlashTool or using MobileUncleTool is given in the instructions sheet.It is include in the SPFlashTool for you to install TWRP by using SPFlash tool or you can try to install using Mobile Uncle Tool if you get ROOT through VROOT (Google for VROOT)
The update to S017 will update GApps and update some framework files since the upgrade for A889 from S011 to S017 is only about 30Mb and mostly it is Lenovo bloatwares.
First you must already obtain root access to upgrade – if you are are not rooted and on stock ROM you must gain temporary root access by using VROOT (which is to be installed on PC and will Root the phone via USB connection- dont want to go into that topic – Google for it!) this will enable you to use MobileUncleTool to install TWRP recovery.
Or if you are experienced you can flash the TWRP recovery only using SPFlashTool.
Copy the zip file on the external sdcard and go into TWRP. choose INSTALL, select this zip file.
The time settings defaults to Asia/Kuala Lumpur and GPS settings defaults to India/Russia/France continent from Asia/Europe. DO NOT use MobileUncleTool/Faster GPS/GPS Doctor apps to change the gps.settings. you only have to edit your locale in the file called "gps.conf" in system/etc folder.(please use RootExplorer/RootBrowser app) There are specific settings only for MTK devices those apps (Faster GPS/GPS Doctor/MobileUncleTool) will overwrite the settings!This must also change in the NTPSync to get the best GPS fix.

In the OptionalApps.zip there is Balckmart/1Mobile Market/(to downlaod apps that is declared as incompatible by Playstore) GooglePlus, Battery Calibration,CleanMaster(maintenance)
After first signing in to Google you will get error messages because Google Playstore need the latest update to Google PlayService (already updated Google PlayServices or GmsCore) to latest version.
