Custom kernel for Lenovo A820 suitable for AOSP roms.

Not compatible with mastersanta's V3 rom

v2.1+ is compatible with mastersanta's rom and should be good for any other AOSP-based rom

For MIUI and VIBE wait or ask the developer of your rom.

 

Aroma installer with some options

  • Chipset undervolted (recommended to try this first)
  • Chipset at default volts (if you experience glitches or sound corruption, try this one)[/list]
  • Backup of NVRAM, IMEI and boot.img (saved on internal and external cards in proton_kernel_backup folder.
  • Restore NVRAM, IMEI and boot.img

 

GPU is now controlled via module interface. init.d script is included and istalled automatically.

You can control GPU DVFS (dynamic voltage and frequency), GPU target frequency and GPU voltages for all states.

The kernel should have better performance and better battery life.

A7000-Vibe 2.5

Here is the Vibe 2.5 ROM ported from the A7000-a.
 Flash boot and system with the DL download all with checksum option using your original scatter file.

Scatter is not provided here since you need to have the original rom if you mess things up.

I am running this and it is flawless as far as i have tested.

you can also flash this from fastboot

steps to flash in fastboot.:

1) fastboot flash system viberx.img

2) fastboot flash boot boot.img

ensure you do a factory reset before this and then boot to bootloader to flash this rom.

CWM recovery made by me can help you do this as well. Its on xda search for the A7000 threads.

!!!!!Attention s660 only Chinese version, the Russian version have hardware changes and give error in the kernel at startup.!!!!!!!!

The only problem with this terminal is the location by GPS, to be linked with MTK 6582 processor, if processes data affects GPS performance, only improves the fixation when the screen is locked and the phone is in low power consumption, but enabled if you have set the GPS loses much stability.
Currently there are no OTA version that fixes this flaw to be in the flow of processor performance. :(

Without the Safe Center of Lenovo and useless applications

Make a backup of the system ROM if it were not supported by your terminal. It can be done with MtkDroidTools

Make a backup of the IMEI with MtkDroidTools before making Flash

Adding this Mtkdroidtools for you can reinstall the IMEI and you can backup the IMEI.

Installation:
!!!I recommend backing up the nvram with Mtkdroidtools before using Spflashtool to keep the imei, otherwise there would then insert the end of the process once the terminal with the new rom rebooted.!!!!

-Donwload and unpacking VIVE Cuasar Version 1.5.rar
-Off the phone and remove the battery
-Run SP_Flash_Tool and selected MT6582_Android_scatter.txt on rom directory
-Download press release o download/firmware
-Connect phone without battery
-When the green circle appears the battery and turn on the phone.

-When I start properly, shut down again and go into recovery mode ( pressing "Power" then"Volume +" and select boot recovery.
Select "Wipe data / factory reset" and run
Select "Wipe cache partition" and run
select "Advanced" and then "Wipe Dalvik Cache" and run
Select "Back" and run
Select "reboot system now" Program
- And wait for it to restart, you can restart several times. It takes a while.
And if all goes well will be all set.

This ROM has been tested on a Chinese version terminal S660 and it worked all components.

1) Download the firmware and throw firmware archive to the root of the memory card.
2) Boot mode rekaveri TWRP and make all wipes are (Wipe) except the memory card.
3) Turn off your smartphone.
4) Insert the smart mode rekaveri.
5) Login to the point "Install" to find the firmware tapnut on it, swipe to move to the right, then follow the instructions of the installer.

The features required to read
P.S. after setting an error Warning o file contexts – it is not critical, do not be alarmed. – Fixed
Cut OTA added butaudio, Isen sound settings, the camera corrected work as ART and DALVIK.
In general everything seems to be that you need to work the bugs noticed.

Lots of apps have been removed to slim the rom down. Play store is still included and you can still install gapps. Almost all ringtones and notifications were removed. The *.zip has been reduced to 183mb(slim)

  1. Download all required files needed to update your Lenovo S850, Please make sure that USB VCOM driver completely installed before continued to next step.
  2. Extract S850_ROW_S207_140814, this will contains a target_bin and flash_tool folder, these two folder must be on the same folder for easy operate it. We just only need these two folder you can ignore the other folder.
  3. Go to flash_tool extracted folder and run Flash_Tool.exe, on the Flash_Tool program please make sure that DA DL All with Checksum option already checked, then please click Scatter-Loading button and point it to target_bin/MT6582_Android_scatter.txt, this will automatically load all the required files for update to Flash Tool

  4. Finish configure Flash Tool, now press Download button or you can hit F9, Flash Tool will begin to initialized and become stand by mode.
  5. Now turn off your device. Wait 15 seconds until phone completely turn off then connect your device to your computer. Flash Tool will begin to recognize your device and start the upgrade process, upgrade process will take 5-10 minutes and will be mark with RED, PURPLE, and YELLOW bar on the bottom Flash Tool. When you see GREEN CIRCLE on the middle of Flash Tool, this mean flashing process already finish and you can disconnect your device.

What is different from other firmware PAC_MAN (based on cm 11 android KK 4,4 for a706 multilanguage)

  • Possibility of Custom animation settings of the boot process unit

  • For PAC_MAN will leave updates and additions

This firmware can be called universal, because it has incorporated the best features from the more famous counterparts, including CyanogenMod , AOKP and Paranoid Android .

Warning: This firmware is suitable only for Lenovo Vibe X2-CU! I don't take any responsibility for your devices! Use at your own risk!

Installation:


1. Open flash_tool.exe from X2_flashtool_20140812(v5.1428.05.000) folder
2. In Flashtool, select the MT6595_Android_scatter.txt from the target_bin folder. Wait file to be added into Flash Tool
3. Make sure “DA DL All with Checksum” is checked in Options -> Options -> Download   OR YOUR PHONE WILL FAIL TO BOOT!
4. Turn off your phone.
5. Select "Firmware Upgrade" or "Download only", but do not use "Format All + Download", because you will lose your IMEI and MAC
6. Press Download
7. Connect your phone into the computer via USB data cable.
- install driver from Drivers folder, if needed (you may have to disable Windows Driver Signature Enforcement)
- The process will start and a red progress bar will appear after, yellow, grey and green circles is displayed, the phone is successfully flashed
8. Disconnect the USB cable from the phone and turn it on. It will take few minutes for the phone to boot for first time

 

Changes: Improved camera and wifi stability, updated compass.

Sorry for the splitted archive, but need rom has 850MB file limit. You will need 7zip to decompress the files (Download from 7zip.org). Enjoy!
